About Us
HERD- Helping Everyone Reach their Dreams takes into account the individual needs of clients (potential and active), and offers hour long sessions tailored to help meet those needs through engagement with horses. HERD serves children and young adults ages 7+ with unique needs and varying physical, emotional, and intellectual ability levels. Diagnoses can range from, but are not limited to, Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, and related identified disorders.
Skilled Horses and Humans
We all seek connection and relationships that are built on trust, that promote teamwork, that stimulate growth, that nurture confidence and uplift spirits. HERD's horses and humans are skilled in the areas of practicing acceptance and inclusion, fostering self-efficacy and advocacy, as well as stimulating laughter and triumph.
Participants are guaranteed a fun, and engaging experience!
Variety of Activities and Skills Addressed
Whether it is for daily/independent functioning, mindfulness, regulation, sensory input, tactile learning with the horses, and more, all of our sessions are customizable and designed to meet our participant's individual needs and goals! Activities can include, but are not limited to the following:
- Arena obstacle courses
- Arts and Crafts
- Card games
- Farm chores and feeding
- Horse care, grooming, and handling
- Mindfulness tasks
